Annual Holiday CD for Charity to Include a Record 27 Songs!

Christmas By The Lake Volume VI

A Christmas by the Lake- Volume VI was released on Thursday,  November 15th.
This year’s CD  features 27 songs by musicians from throughout the region and will sell for $12 each at
area Super One Foods, Pam’s Hallmark in the Miller Hill Mall and on-line at www.lundeenproductions.com.

“We’ve really tried to take the CD to a new level this year and the response from area musicians has
been unbelieveable” said Tracy Lundeen, Executive Producer and President of Lundeen Productions.
Even nationally reknowned performer Lorie Line has contributed to this year’s CD. Duluthian Derek Bromme
is Line’s trombonist in her band and he approached Line about contributing a song.
“Line was delightful to work with” said Lundeen.
“It’s fun to have some national star power on the CD with a solid local connection like Derek.”

Christmas by the Lake  proceeds will benefit two organizations, the Northern Lights Foundation
and Flood Homes with Hope.  Northern Lights helps regional children that have life threatening illnesses and was founded
several years ago by Duluth dentist Dr. Ken Larson.  Flood Homes with Hope has been added this year due to the enormous need
for help after last June’s devasting floods. Flood Homes with Hope is the regional long term flood recovery effort
that is ongoing to help flood victims.  “The fund was established to help address the unmet needs of
residents when insurance, government or personal funds are insufficient to cover rebuilding or rehabilitation of the home,”
says Paula Reed, United Way of Greater Duluth President.  “Recovery and our efforts to leverage financial
and donated resources will be ongoing for quite some time.”  Every dollar donated to this fund will go
to those in need across the region - administrative fees are being covered by local governments,
United Ways, foundations and other agencies.  “We feel honored to be able to work with two such worthy causes,” said Lundeen.
“Every dollar we give will go directly to those who need help without any administrative expenses.”

TwinPortsNightlife.com has joined this year as a major sponsor of A Christmas by the Lake.
TwinPortsNightlife.com is a one stop e-guide for everything after 6PM in the Twin Ports area and provides
site visitors with insight into the nightlife scene in Duluth, Superior, and surrounding areas.
“We are thrilled to be part of such a worthy project” said Walt Aplin, co owner of TwinPortsNightlife.com.
“We have been supporters of the Northern Lights Foundation,  and it’s great we can help with Flood Homes with Hope
as we all know how many of our friends and neighbors suffered from the floods last summer.”
