Meet The Band
Ninety to the Dozen revives the sound of double-fiddling in the traditional style of County Donegal in northwestern Ireland. The fiddle music of Donegal features northern Irish tunes rooted in Scottish and Irish melody, but performed in a very unique Irish regional double-fiddle style. The group also performs Quebecois-style and original tunes. The band's name takes their name from regional Irish slang "ninety to the dozen" which loosely means 'pulling out all the stops.' This also suitably describes the energy of their performances. The group is a collective of individual performers who share some common ground with the music, each with already established and respected careers in Irish music and with national and international touring experience.
