Tony Award Winning Avenue Q is an "autobiographical and biographical" coming-of-age parable, addressing and satirizing the issues and anxieties associated with entering adulthood. Its characters lament that as children, they were assured by their parents, and by children's television programs such as PBS's Sesame Street, that they were "special" and "could do anything", by as adults, they have discovered to their surprise and dismay that in the real world, their options are limited, and they are no more "special" than anyone else.

This play, based on the true beginnings of Helen’s life in the 1880s, shows the breakthrough from wild, raging undisciplined creature, to the freedom that Helen obtains from sign language taught by governess and teacher Annie Sullivan.

Colin Teevan's edgy interpretation of the Greek classic finds the Greek fleet amassed at Aulis, prepared to depart for Troy to retrieve Helen, but stalled by the lack of favorable winds.  In order to placate the gods and end the doldrums, Agamemnon is pressured by his brother, Menaleus (Helen's husband), to sacrifice his oldest daughter, Iphegenia.   Vainglory, familial loyalty, patriotism, and sacrifice collide at the brink of a conflict few of them fully understand.  A chorus of vigorous and lusty young women lend commentary on the action and the characters.

Over 1,900 people are expected to attend this annual Brewfest & Concert - a fundraising event for the Twin Ports Miracle League.

Over 130 different wines and over 30 different wines will be sampled from 4PM-8PM, and then, the evening is capped off with a concert by Trampled By Turtles!
