It is pure Midsummer madness and magic in Shakespeare’s beloved comedy featuring the Youth Repertory Theatre Company. Fairies, lovers, and a troupe of misguided actors collide on a moonlit night under Puck’s love spell. Enchanted hijinks ensue in this student produced Summer Performance Intensive at Playhouse.

The Summer intensives at the Playhouse are a way to get our students hands-on in their productions by learning all technical aspects of putting on a show. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is double-cast, and while one company of actors is performing, the other group is running the other areas of the theatre. These areas include lighting, sound, costumes, ushering, backstage crew, etc. The two casts perform on alternate nights and really get a good feeling about what it takes to run a full theatrical production.
