Originally from Detroit Lakes, MN. Jason spent 20 years growing his music career in Hutchinson, MN. where he started a teaching studio, Groove Street Music Studio, taught at numerous schools, recorded and performed with his band, the Jason Schooler Band and was involved in many other various music projects.
In 2017 Jason retired from music, selling his studio and all his instruments to buy sewing machines (you can ask him about that!). Jason and family moved to Duluth, MN. that year .
Coming out of retirement in 2022, Jason performs solo acoustic sets of original music with an outlaw country/dark country/americana vibe.
